The yields may be better in the north of England, but research from UKALA has revealed that it’s not all smooth sailing.
Research by UKALA has found that landlords in the north of England experience the lengthiest void periods in the UK, with 53% if landlords in the North East and North West experiencing voids in the last quarter. This is compared to only 28% in the South East, which is the lowest across the regions.
London landlords sat in the middle, with an average of 42%.
The findings show that the UK average is 35%, which has increased from the previous set of data, which showed an average of 33%.
