We know what landlords look for in an investment, but what exactly are young tenants looking for in their ideal rental property?
A recent survey by price comparison website GoCompare has shed some light on this question.
Surprisingly, the research - which asked 1,000 tenants what they looked for, before comparing the findings with those you'd find in a selection of 1,546 homes currently available on Rightmove - revealed that the landlords of the properties explored were making one key mistaking, providing too much!
Tenants stated that they were keenest to rent properties that came unfurnished, however the statistics highlight that only 14% of the surveyed properties were available on an unfurnished basis.
However, for others, more is definitely more, with 18% of tenants looking for access to a pool, 16% hoping for a cleaning service, and 15% holding out for an en-suite!
