Urban.co.uk has just rebranded! The new branding better reflects URBAN by drawing on our heritage.

URBAN was born because the founders Adam Male and Oliver Atkinson identified a need for transparency, honesty and a high level of customer service in the property sector, as well as fair pricing. Adam and Oliver, just out of university, took on a renovation project in South West London and once complete they decided to rent the property.

They were shocked at the high level of fees they had to pay a high street agent and the lack of customer care. They had signed up for their own Findaproperty.com account (since purchased by Zoopla) but had to be an estate agent in order to do this. So in 2008, from a spare room with nothing more than a laptop and a mobile phone – they founded Urban.co.uk.

The agency was online, but still offered all the services that a high street agent would – with greater flexibility. Customers were able to pick and choose the services they needed. The business grew and within 12 months it was rolled out nationally.

URBAN is now one of the leading online estate agencies and our new branding is set to support our bold, bright future. We’ve aimed to keep the branding honest and simple. Using a zingy yellow palette and clear, sometimes humorous, language, we hope you will find our information easy to understand, and on occasion fun!

Likewise the website is uncluttered and easy to use. All current customers' account and property information will be accessible on the new site with the login button top right - as before. Our prices stay the same but we now give our prices incl. VAT rather than ex. VAT. And we’ve replaced the blog with a one-stop-shop news and advice section – the Landlord University – to support time-strapped landlords, helping them keep up with the latest property developments.

We’re hitting the road over the coming months to meet landlords at property events so look out for the vibrant yellow stand and come and have a chat! We start with the National Landlord Investment Show on 8 November. Events and dates will be posted on this website
