Walsall Council selective licensing put on hold
It was announced this week by Walsall Council that they are planning to put the brakes on their proposals for a selective licensing scheme, due to ‘new legislation’.
The National Landlords Association has been lobbying Walsall Council to not go ahead with the selective licensing scheme without thoroughly consulting with stakeholders in the area.
Currently, the only form of licensing in Walsall is mandatory HMO licensing, which will be extended in September.
The Council says they will consult on selective licensing in the area at a future date.
