London may be the capital of the UK, but according to a recent survey it’s not the capital for smart investing.
That honour has landed on Manchester, which has been named as the top place to be a landlord, according to comparison portal GoCompare. It topped a list of 31 cities nationwide, pushing London to second place.
The survey complied a list of UK cities, in terms of owning and running a BTL investment, using measures such as average property price, yield, population under 35 properties available, number of management/letting agencies, number of new housing development in the local area, properties currently available to rent and rental price growth.
