Despite London’s reputation for the priciest city in the country, the dubious accolade for the least affordable city in the UK has actually gone to Oxford, according to research from Lloyds Bank.
Looking at the cost of property compared to average wages,Oxford (1st) and Winchester (2nd) have pushed London into third place in the rankings, suggested the cost of living in these cities is beyond the possibility of many.
The 10 least affordable cities in the UK are:

- Cambridge
- Bath
- Brighton and Hove
- Truro

- Chichester
- Exeter
