Landlord Safety Summit: Your definitive guide

Being a landlord is tricky, with over 150 legislations involved in letting your property, making sure you are compliant with all of them (and au-fait with the most up-to-date versions) is a full-time job in itself!

However, the most important aspect of landlord law to understand is safety. As a landlord you have a responsibility under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 to provide a safe and secure home for your tenants. Of course, it's not just as simple as abiding by one piece of legislation, there's plenty more to get your head around!

In the Landlord Safety Summit, Urban.co.uk's Adam Male and the National Landlords Association's Simon Ward will be exploring all of the key elements that landlords have to be aware of, including gas safety, electrical testing, fire regulations and the ever-complicated legionella requirements.
