Cleaning the primary dispute between tenant and landlord

Specifying cleanliness is a tricky one… after all, your version of clean and your tenant’s version of clean might be very different things!

Recent research from ARLA Propertymark has revealed that lack of sufficient cleanliness is the number one reason as to why tenants do not receive their full deposit back at the end of a tenancy, with a whopping 88% of agents surveyed identified this as the number one issue.

Coming in at number two, with 44% of agents noting it as an issue was a lack of general maintenance, including issues such as overgrown, unkempt gardens.
