Architects of the House Slalom project in the city of Almaty, in south-eastern Kazakhstan unveiled their ambitious plans for a giant ski slope on the roof of the building this week, allowing home owners to ski off of the roof of their property! The weather in the region often drops to minus 20 degree Celsius, and the cold weather can last from November to April. The 1,070 foot-long slope will allow skiers and snowboarders to race down the roof of the residential building and onto the street below all winter.
